Mission Statement
Suffice was brought together by the glory of GOD and the whole reason we play is because of Jesus Christ. As a "christian band", we are playing for a very special reason... to plant precious seeds in the hearts of non-christians. We feel that everyone should experience the love of Jesus and each of us has a burden on our heart to share that with anyone who hasn't felt it. It is also in our interest to break the many stereotypes of christianity. Many people think of christians as weak, close-minded, self-righteous losers. But we want to show the world that christians can be loving, caring, strong, unique individuals. Another belief is that christian music is just easy listening, but it also includes everything from ska to raging metalcore (like us).*We also hope that we can be an example to fellow christians who may be struggling in their walk with Christ. But most importantly we are doing this for GOD, because he has forgiven us and accepted us as his sons, blessing us with the gift of Eternal Life.
*If you think christian music is weak, read this:At our first show some people left after we started playing because they thought we were demon possessed, which was really a sign of the Holy Spirit's pressence!
Suffice
Band Biography
Suffice started when vocalist, Don Humphreys and bassist,
Joel Morris talked about starting a hard-core band for fun.
Don had been involved in a band before called TWICE LOST and
realized that the urge for him to be in a band was actually
a calling from God.
This lead him to search for bandmates, he ran across Mike
Mcclung who was, and still is, the drummer for the band
OUT OF ORDER 119. They discussed it and Don,Joel,and Mike
went looking for a guitarist.
After attending Hardfire meetings they relayed their ideas
to Matt Kennal (formerly of JUGGERNAUT) and he was interested.
After one practice, the band made a name and started putting
together songs.
In the beginning, the band members were: Matt Kennal, Don
Humphreys, Joel Morris, Mike Mcclung, and Jon Pendalton
(of FORGIVEN). Jon left after one practice because of time
conflicts.
After Jon left they needed a new guitarist. After searching,
one night, Don felt that he would call B.J. Samson who he
knew from youth group. It turned out B.J. had been praying that
same night to be in a Christian band.
After two months the band did their first show. Things went well,
and they realized that God had really blessed them and led them
to
each other.
After the second show Matt left the band because of commitments
to
Hardfire and JUGGERNAUT. Since then the band has remained Don,
Joel,
Mike and B.J. They look forward to doing many shows in the future
and
planting seeds in the hearts of unsaved people.

"I grew up in the church but unfortunately it didn't do me
too much good.
I got caught up in sin and indulged in drink and lust and didn't
give God
much thought. Until one summer when I was 14. I went to a
christian concert
and listened to the band's testimoney, and then it finally hit me
what I was
doing was wrong and I gave my life to Christ right there on the
spot with my
brother leading me into the 'Sinners Prayer'. God gave me a love
of music
for a reason and now to thank him I sing for him in Suffice.

B.J. Samson-Guitar
"I grew up in the church my whole life and gave my life to
christ at a very
early age and have been following God all my life. I like all
teenagers had
tuff times and low times in my life but God's grace always has
restored me
back and I'm thankful for that. This band has been a blessing in
my life. The
whole reson I'm in this band is because God answered a prayer of
mine and I
choose to honor that by writing music for him"
Joel Morris-Bass
"I grew up in a church all my life and lead a mediocure christian life. I always knew that Jesus was my Lord and Savior but I still sinned and lived a worldly life. I knew I had to make a change but never made a commit- ment. One summer when I was 14 I went to a bible camp where I redidicated my life to Christ and since then I have been in a close relationship with Jesus and he has blessed me with many things in my life and doing this band is just a way I can give thanx to him through music and worship."
